Demand remains sluggish with just 145 contracts signed this week. This is largely seasonal and to some degree being affected by the higher interest rates. But the rate of decline in demand has slowed considerably in the past month and might even have reached a bottom. Because of dwindling supply relative to the demand, the likelihood that prices will fall with any meaningful effect is low. If you're a buyer I would consider the current conditions a BUY SIGNAL. Not to say that prices will go back up immediately, but if you're waiting for prices to come down, the current data suggests that that will likely not happen. ~ Rick Kelly

Ok My wife said go get a big one pappa Bear. So I headed off into the deep snow pile drifts of the arctic with my skill saw and whiskey flask.... But really just down the block to 67th and Columbus.. and got a 7' Spruce for a modest $250! But whos to put a price on happiness for the kids right? Anyways my son August decided to grab one for himself. Meanwhile his sister Olivia and visiting friends went off to see the really big tree in Rockefeller Plaza. Afterwards the ladies took the F to Chinatown for Dim Sum. It truly is a magical time to be in NYC.
